Mama June Shannon’s former son-in-law, Josh Efird, is a father again, for the fifth time. It was rumored that he was going to be a father a few times since he and Pumpkin Efird split. Yet, now his new baby has arrived and has been confirmed. Keep reading for all of the details.
Josh Efird Is A Daddy Again
After six years of marriage and four children, Pumpkin and Josh Efird filed for divorce. This happened at the beginning of August 2024 and was quickly finalized. In that time, Mama June’s daughter was revealed to be dating Josh’s cousin, and had been for some time. This may have led to the split, but fans will have to wait until Family Crisis returns to see it all play out. Regardless of the backstory, Pumpkin and her “new” man, Darrin Kitchens, are very happy together. It looked like Josh was dating an ex of Darrin’s for some time, but that has since ended.
He has a new lady, and in early January 2025, it was believed that she was pregnant. Now, it is official, and Josh has welcomed his fifth child, a little girl named Sadie Mae. She arrived on May 1st but weighed just 3 pounds, 9 ounces. Therefore, she was sent to the NICU until she was stronger. Josh’s girlfriend, Breanna, shared this information on her social media along with photos of the baby. Thankfully, Sadie is doing great, so her parents were able to hold her. The photos of Josh, Breanna, and Sadie were featured, and she is absolutely adorable.
Sadie joins Josh Efird’s older children, Ella, Bentley, and twins Stella and Sylus. Interestingly enough, Breanna is friends with Josh’s ex-wife, Pumpkin. She is listed on her friend’s list, which is quite a plot twist. However, Pumpkin is dating Josh’s cousin, so nothing is surprising anymore. Mama June has openly admitted that she is not a Josh fan and vice versa. He always felt she brought unnecessary drama to their lives when she popped into town.

After it came out that Josh Efird was a father again, what did fans have to say? Sadie was born roughly nine months after he and Pumpkin Efird split, so it is unclear how soon after he and Breanna began dating. This is mainly because he was seeing and living with another girl right after his marriage ended. In any case, fans have always seemed to like Josh and how he took care of his kids.
