‘Days of our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers confirm that Tamara Braun, who plays Ava Vitali, is exiting the soap as her final airdate is April 3rd.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Braun Has Been Gone From The Days Canvas Since July
In a post on Instagram, Braun shared that her time in Salem is coming to an end.
“I wish this was an April Fool’s Joke, but it’s not,”
Braun said.
“This is Ava’s last week on Days. Last couple of days, really. Sad, but true.”
The show films several months in advance, and Braun has been gone from the canvas since July of last year.
Braun has been popping in and out of Salem since 2008. She came onto Days after playing the plum role of Carly Corinthos from 2001 to 2005 on General Hospital. She was the second Carly.
Braun also played an entirely different role on Days in 2011 as Nicole Walker’s (Adrienne Zucker) sister, Taylor, and later reprised the role of mob princess Ava in 2015, 2020, and 2023.

The actress shared that she really misses her pals at Days, saying,
“They are a really good group of caring individuals, and being with them was a joy.”
She went on to thank the audience for all their
“love, kindness, and support during Ava’s latest Salem stint.”
Braun told Soap Opera Digest in 2023 that the complex character, Ava, has always had a “special place in her heart.”
“I absolutely love Ava. She’s had different incarnations,”
She said.
“Some I’ve enjoyed better than others, but what’s beautiful about her is that she has so many layers to her, and there’s a lot of history there.”
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Ava Will Be A Suspect In EJ’s Shooting
Braun continued,
“It’s always fun to see what avenue whoever’s writing at the time is going to take with her,”
She mused.
“I was interested to see where she was going to go this time. Even when they let you know, you never really know where it’s ultimately going to go. That definitely keeps you on your toes and keeps it fun and exciting and new,”
She explained.
Braun won a Daytime Emmy for Best Supporting Actress for her work as Ava in 2009. Braun is bummed to leave her Days family. It’s also unfortunate that not much has come out of Ava’s relationship with Brady (Eric Martsolf).
Since Braun’s last airdate is April 3rd, which is the same day EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gets shot, we have to wonder whether Ava is the one who pulls the trigger.
EJ was involved in Ava’s kidnapping as he did nothing to help her when he saw her at Aremid. Rachel Blake (Ros Gentle) was holding her hostage.

EJ and Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) were complicit in this crime and kept Ava tied to a chair and gagged.
The show’s weekly preview revealed that Ava will dispose of a gun. The same gun Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) gave her after Ava told her the story of her kidnapping. It looks like Ava will be a suspect in EJ’s shooting.
However, spoilers suggest that Ava is not guilty as someone else is responsible. Viewers will soon find out what has Ava rushing out of Salem. We will definitely miss Ava until next time.
