In 2014, Mike got into a car accident with his family in Georgia. It was reported that the Mama June star was turning left when another car crashed into them. Mama June made a public post about the accident, saying that it was such a scary moment for them. They didn’t suffer any severe injuries, but the accident has left a huge mark on the family, as it was the very first time they suffered a car wreck. Regardless, Mama June said that they proceeded to celebrate Pumpkin’s 14th birthday regardless of the soreness in their bodies.
Alana Breaks Silence About Sugar Bear’s Explosive Anger
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson recently participated in an interview where she opened up about her father Mike’s explosive anger. According to the Mama June star, there were times that her dad would be “super angry” and let his temper take over him. She added that things get “really scary” whenever Mike gets mad, adding that there were times when he’d just rip his clothes off, throw things, and even punch walls. This also made Alana think that their car accident from 2014 was intentional.
She didn’t elaborate further, but it seems Mike may have been arguing with his family before the crash happened. Alana has also confirmed that she has never talked to her father in a very long time, confirming the huge rift in their relationship.
